A really nicely refurbished cinema. It has definitely been modernised since changing from Empire a few years ago, the foyer and screens are clean and inviting. The staff were friendly and helpful when booking tickets, using gift vouchers/cards, ordering food and even upon leaving after the film, a smiling assistant holds the door open. One of the better cinemas I have been to for sure.
Great place for an evening out. Awesome cinemas with many options (2D, 3D, 4D) and many restaurants catering for many tastes. Also bowling and other activities available.

Pleasant theatre, quite basic, no frills or glamour. The seats are quite small, place could be tarted up somewhat. However, staff are friendly and show was good. On the plus side, now that Basildon is going through a regeneration phase, hopefully it will draw more people and generate more revenue for its upkeep. Would definitely visit again, as they seem to have lots of shows and events going on. The theatre is a good starting point for the cultural centre of Basildon, it would be nice if that could be encouraged and replicated.
A nice theatre. Seats are comfortable and a nice atmosphere. Take your own snacks and drinks. The small, £1 bags of sweets / chocs cost £2.50 if bought at the theatre and a bottle of water is £1.50. There is a bar inside also for alcoholic drinks and I believe you can order food also. Parking - you can park at Basildon Westgate open car park. It's pay and display but might rate starts at 18:00 and is only £1 from 18:00 - 00:00 About a 2 minute walk away from the theatre.
