Local Bookshops

Cartoon Shop

Eastgate Centre, 109 Southernhay, Basildon SS14 1AG, UK – 01268 524901

Although the location has changed a few times, Cartoon Shop has been in Basildon for as long as most people can remember. For many, it's one of the only places in the county you can get comics. Others go there for other collectibles like cards and figures. Some long -term customers now bring new generations along, so it should keep going for as long as the owner can.

Very good shop and reasonable prices ,just needs a website.

29 Town Square, Basildon SS14 1BA, UK – 01268 520367

When ever I enter this shop I will see all the information I need and it is very easy to look around. The passageways are aways clear to walk round, and the items I like are easy to reach. The The staff are very friendly and helpful. I would recommend you take a look at all they have as you will be surprised at what there to be found. Good Hunting.

Whsmith best selection of magazines anywhere! Everything else is sadly overpriced - books, stationary and greeting cards. All cheaper online. But it would be a sad day if Whsmith went the same way as so many high street stores & disappeared.
