Vets4Pets Basildon Pipps Hill

Inside Pets at Home, Pipps Hill Retail Park, Miles Gray Road, Basildon SS14 3AF, UK – 01268 288045

My 2 cats have been with Vets4pets for several years after transferring from another vet that I was not happy with. My cats both suffered with the long term condition of hyperthyroidism so had to have regular check ups, and I have always found all the vets to be very friendly and knowledgeable when dealing with them. Sadly we have just lost both our cats (for completely different reasons) just 6 weeks apart. I cannot thank them enough for their kindness and compassion at such a terrible time. They clearly explained what was wrong, along all the options available to us and fully supported our decision. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Cannot rate them enough. They are friendly, competent and very helpful. I always get the genuine feeling that they love the animals and really care. The aftercare is amazing and have recommended these guys to other bunny-owners. The receptionists are a great laugh and make you feel welcome.

Cherrydown Vets Ltd

The Paddock, 53 Cherrydown W, Basildon SS16 5AW, UK – 01268 533636

I have used Cherrydown Vets for some years now and can only praise them for the service they have provided for my dogs. Not only do they offer a 24 hour emergency service and all the high tech equipment needed for specialist things their compassion and their relationship between themselves and the animals is second to none, I would highly recommend them as anyone's vet.

Honest, fair cost and good service. Nothing to really moan about. They look after both my French bulldogs.

PDSA Pet hospital Basildon

The Coco Markus Centre, High Rd, Essex, Basildon SS16 4TG, UK – 01268 555100

It's unlikely that you will be seen at your appointment time, in fact chances are you will wait for around a minimum of around 30 minutes and sometimes even an hour or two, but this is due to there only being 4 vets maximum, working at any one time. There's only a fairly small waiting room so it can be quite hectic, especially if there are a large number of dogs who don't get on, but considering you're getting your animal treated for free or very low cost, by vets who work flat out and often over their normal hours, its not really fair to complain. Considering this hospital covers a really wide area on its own , in a fairly small space unfortunately , so personally I think it gets unfairly complained about, the staff and vets work REALLY hard and do their very best in quite cramped conditions for little or sometimes no thanks, or often quite a bit of abuse and they do it with a smile and a friendly word. A lot of the problems complained about would be solved if only this hospital had the space and ability to expand to a bigger hospital, but that's hardly their fault.

Was busy both times l took my friend and her dog there. Has a fairly big car park but even so parking can be an issue. Vets we saw were busy but friendly Careing and helpful. I would have more faith in PDSA over a vet practice I didn't know specially a chain as lm hearing more and more about vets charging for treatments that the animals don't actually need & more so if they are insured. Please Always ask other pet owners who they use & would recommend.
